killed the lancer

I'm also curious how you got the car to flip. I'm assuming some relatively high speeds were involved?

dang man... i totalled my lancer a few months back, but i kept all 4 on the ground. i know all about that SICK feeling in your stomach when your car stops and you realize what just happened to your baby.
it'll all work out in the end though, bro. just be grateful that you're still in one piece, cuz things could have been a lot worse.

Thanks everyone....i appreciate the thoughts. I was coming over a hill that turned once i got over it. The back end came out and i started rolling. I recieved lots of PMs from people concerning the parts. Once I get them off I will let everyone know the prices and what not. The people that sent me the PMs first have the first dibs. Thanks again.

Wow, did you really caused oversteer on a FWD? It's very hard thing to do. I have managed that feat only once on a 85 renault alliance. Hot and heavy turning a 90 degree corner. Front tires gripped hard but the rear started to track away from me. So, I just completely lifted off the throttle for 1.5 sec and bogged the motor before pedal to the metal. The lunge ahead was enough to pull the car through from fishtailing it.
On my mirage, I always encountered understeering problem from tires if I push the car too fast beyond 92% of Dunlop capacity through corners, even w/ rear sway to track the rear along nicely.
Otherwise,
When you got over the hill, did you encountered understeer? Then, you counter steered a bit enough to be straight for under 2 secs before the momentum from the rear pushes the front too hard and sling the rear out of control. This happened a lot in rain and braking hard going through a corner.
It's hard for me to believe FWD doing oversteer. It has to understeer w/ counter steer to cause the rear to kick out during corning or hitting the apex on the grass (the latter is a dozzy). In order to flip the car, your tires has to encounter the grass before hitting a rut of some sort. Even accident dynamics don't defy the laws of physics . . . example a 10 mph accident will never look like a+100 mph accident (exception may be a mack truck hitting a metro or excel).
holy **** man...im sorry to hear about that..glad to hear you're fine though. my car almost did the same thing too. if i'd have been on a hill in my accident, i might have died. it's amazing how laners dont get bashed in too easy. how serious were your injuries?
Hey man im glad to hear that your ok...but im curious...hows your insurance company dealing with this...reason being is that i got into a car accident last christmas...wasn't my fault but long story...anyways my insurance company gave me the boot...now my insur. ends in 2 days...i can't drive and nobody else will insure me...well life sux for me hope it goes well with you...i wish i got hurt bad or sumthin...cause having my car( even though not an evo) and not being able to drive it makes me go insane....

but glad you're ok!
