Dirt catcher

My sister just got her 2003 OZ back from the shop after 2 months of waiting for repairs. She got hit in a parking lot one night. bummer.

Anyway, after checking out the quality of work that was done to it I noticed a dirt build up in the rear wheel wells. In the front part of the rear wells is an almost shelf like part that was full of dirt and debris. I even found a very large rock in one. Is anyone elses Lancer doing this? Should this be a concern for future rust problems in this area?

I had an almost fully functioning sand box back there after winter. Lucky it is only plastic so it isnt going to rust. Just collects debris.

i think there was a thread about this a while ago. the answer was "that's what we have paint/rust warranties for"
