Evo 7 spoiler question

Anyone know what the deal is with the spoiler. It looks adjustable. Could it actually be a functional spoiler?

It is functional and adjustable, on an Evo at least. Gotta keep that downforce applied to those back wheels in the twisties at above 60 don't ya? hehehehe. God bless AWD.

Is it automatic like a Porshe's spolier? Or is there a switch for the driver? Or do you have to get out of the car and adjust it yourself

i believe that there are 4 different setting for the rear wing, but you have to adjust manually. however, i don,t think there is much effect below 130-140 km/h

nothing on the stock evos are for looks, everything is functional (to a certain extent).

Yes its adjustable, you just pop of the end caps loosen the screws with and allen wrench and position it where you want it. But be careful when you pop off the endcaps because the little metal clip that you have to depress to release the endcap pops off very easily and falls down inside the spoiler. Then you have to take the entire thing off of the trunk and play turn it this way and that till the clip comes back out the hole. That happened to someone I know
