$16.6 is what you financed, so w/ your $3500 down that means you paid $21.1 out the door if my math serves me correctly..

10.9% on a secured loan??? People get better rate than that on credit card. I'm guessing you financed your car at the stealership.... it took me one bad loan at the dealer to realize that their purpose is to feed on innocent prey like the vultures they are... the dealer's job is to get you approved for a loan that is in their best interest -- a.k.a. through a bank that would have approved you for 8% and they let the dealer tack on 2.9% interest. In my personal experience, I was approved for 8.65% in Sept. '06 when I bought an Evo IX at the dealer. A couple months later, my bank approved me for 6.54% interest.

I hope you know that not trying to be mean in any way with this post... I'm trying to save you some money. Your loan at 10.9% interest is $435.32/month for 72 months. Compare that to 7.9% interest which is $400.95/month. ~$34/month savings for 72 months is $2448 -- I'd like to think that anyone would enjoy another $2448 in their pocket over 6 years.

(BTW, I don't make any claim of being a car buying expert, but I do understand finances and economics enough to give good advice to people that seem overwhelmed with bad loans. PM me if you have any questions, I'd be glad to help.)
