Has anyone seen the carbon fiber decals for the sides of your car from modern image in person? I was wondering if they looked good. I plan on getting a side graphic (I don't care what anyone hates about them, I'm working on a show car too). My car is silver and I was planning on buying black first, but then thought about getting carbon fiber to match a carbon fiber hood trunk and wing I am getting. Does anyone think the carbon fiber decal would look better then black, also, sponsor stickers are black, so black decal might be better to match those. Let me know your opinion.

 

i dont know about modern images decals.... but ive seen carbon fiber like vynl.... im not a fan of graphics done in vynl, but this stuff didnt look bad at all.. however i dont think it would look very good all down the side of your car =\

EDIT in other words if any, go with black.

yes the carbon fiber looks good, never seen it as a graphic just with logos. But it looks like the real thing, but obviously there is a difference in the entire look of real carbon fiber and viynl. definitly go with it....

 

It sounds like you really wanted Black?! If you wanted Black, you should have bougth Black. I drive Silver and Black and bought Black. The dealer got a Red one the same day I picked up my Black, but didn't like the Blue interior with Red. Too bad the interiors aren't color matched to body color... then they would have something!

I liked the Black since the carbon fiber is much more subtle that way. The wing and side panels look so hot on Black and catch people by surprise. It is a nice little surprise for those who look closely. The Carbon Fiber hood should look nice on my Black one too. I don't think the Carbon Fiber decal for the side of the car will look very good. It reminds me of the 1972 Oldmobile Vista Cruiser Station Wagon that my dad bought for $300 for my sister to drive once she wrecked everything else in the driveway. That simulated wood paneling on the side was butt ugly.

Also, you will find that it is VERY easy and cheap to have sponsor graphics made in any color you like, so that should not have been a factor. Sounds like you still want black.

I agree that Carbon Fiber is great! Just don't like "decals" trying to pass themselves off as Carbon Fiber.
