I got new rims for my car 17x7.5 if you get wheels that are 7.5 in width you have to shave some of the sound blocking material in the back off because it will rub against the inside of the rim..... Just letting everyone know cause it makes an awful sound that will definitly scare you at first but it is real simple to fix

 

how did you shave the tire? what did you use, im getting them soon and i need to know....plus... does the 7.5" stick out of the wheel well at all...just curious.

 

I didn't shave the tire, I shaved the sound densing material on the inside of the wheel well with a razor knife.... No it does not stick out

 

why not save the trouble and purchase 17x7's?

 

Cause the KA3 only come in either 16x7 or 17x7.5 so, I figured I would just let everyone know if it happens to them, how to fix it

 

Should've got a wheel with the right offset so it fits. I'm sure it still rubs like crazy when driven hard.
