Does anyone know if a key fob can be reprogramed? I have one left over from my SRT-4 and my friend has an SRT-4 and he broke his key fob.I just wanna know, he's willing to pay $50 for it, because its $150 through Dodge. Thanks ahead of time.

yes they can recode it to the new car.. basically all they do is add the fobs signal to the ECU (not add the ecu code to the fob).. or your not reprogramming anything, just adding it.

this is something the dealer should do though, so there might be a half hour charge.

and np... I'm a tech, up until recently I was a dealership tech (not dodge though.. toyota) due to conflicts with management decisions I moved to a different shop for a whole new slew of experiences (and more money!! LOL )
