So, I may be selling a full Evo leather Recaro interior - I was wondering if the door panels of the lancer will be swappable with the door panels of the Evo? Since the SSL Evo has leather door inserts, I think someone should get these as well, ya know? So, if the lancer door panels fit, I may do a swap and cash deal, maybe?

yeh everything from the evo interior fits the lancer.

except for the rear seats, they need some custom work to fit.

Nope, taking interior out of the Evo and will be selling. Let me put it to you this way - a caged car with race seats doesnt need door panels with leather, just some plain jane panels. I want cloth since the race seats will be cloth and same applies for rear seats as they will be recovered in cloth to match the race seats...

 

the rear seats aren't THAT hard to do... the clips that hold them in from the evo also fit in the regular lancer. i helped my friend put his evo VIII rear seat in his lancer. we posted some pictures in his build thread, his name is lanceradam.

pretty much all you need to do is chop off some foam from the seats and you can call it a day. to REALLY go the extra mile jam two carriage bolts in a aluminum bar and thread it through the metal rods inside the seat... attach some MDF to the back of the car where the seats will sit and stick some nuts on the ends of those carriage bolts protruding from the MDF.

 

this is the closest tread i could come up with. i know interior pieces from the evo and lancer are interchangable.
my question is, is an 06 evo interior interchangable with 04-06 lancer interior.... did they change specs?? thanks

 

I just put 03 evo panels in my 06 if that helps any
