How many miles do you all plan swapping your engines? I'm at 94k I plan on swapping around 150k.

 

Honestly I'm going to drive mine until it won't run anymore. What is the average life of a Mitsu engine? I know Honda's and Toyota's can go to 200k + if you treat them right.

 

I imagine its the same if you take care of the car just like with any car. I'd like to do an engine swap when my engine blows just for fun.

 

I have 157k on my engine and its still runs the same when I orginally bought the car! The engine has been treated good! So we shall see how long it goes!

I don't see a reason for swapping the engine I'll be satisfied when I hit 200k, but I think this engine can do more considering how well I've cared for it. If it breaks, I'll just rebuild it, as long as it wasn't something catastrophic/block damaging.

I would love to have a spare fully buit motor on the side up until my motor goes. The 4g93 is cheap! Buddy of mine got one for less than 500 bucks. You could fully build a 4g93 and pretty much have a new engine for under 1500 bucks with forged rods and pistons, new cam, ported intake etc. Not a bad deal... Then turbo that ****.
