Hey guys I was on www.speedoptions.com and they are looking for an 03 Lancer "non turbo" for a test fit of the new K&N Typhoon Intake system...

Ok, I just called the guys. They said that they are looking for a 2003 Lancer "Non-turbo". Yes, he was a ***** and said that they wont accept a 2002 lancer, they want a 2003 lancer. I told him there is virtually NO difference in anything between the 2 years and he didnt believe me.

 

hahaahaha, ok well i guess my email won't do much good.

That's odd, they've had the typhoon kit for the Lancer already for a good 6 months. I know because I was thinking about getting one before I went with RMR. Maybe the dumbass at K&N thinks that the 2003 is the new redesigned 2004 model. I can't imagine why someone would hassle Iamkar for having a 2002 otherwise. I hope this dumbass is thinking 2003 is the redesign and ends up having to give a typhoon to Guru. That would be great.

 

i spoke with him and he knows that the 2004 is a redesign too so I am unsure what is going on. All i know is I tell you all what i think of it on wed or thurs of next week.

 

the K&N warehouse in Riverside Proto fitted my roomates Eclipse with the typhoon it yeilded 13.8 hp increase on the Short ram and a 6hp on the cold air. its a great product, so who ever does get it will be more then happy with the product . Make sure you have your stock exhaust and intake on at delivery. Thats why i didnt get mine done cause i dont have my stock exhaust. Bummer. Just be patient cause it will take a little while. It took 8 months due to the process they go through to make these things. just some fyi
