RRM taillight survey

I'm ready to purchase the RRM cf taillights for my Thunder Grey OZ, but first I wanted to take a survey ("taking a poll" just sounds bad) finding out if anyone whose installed them has problems with leaks.

i asked RRM and the lights are D.O.T approved. i'm assuming that they fall under all requirements concerning safety and whatnot...so they might be water tight. Otherwise, i wouldn't know why they would pass safety testing if they weren't. I have a thunder grey OZ too...if anyone has any pics of it already installed, please send it to me or post it....thanks

P.S....dolphin's *** eh?....ABSOLUTELY NO COMMENT!!!

I don't think many people got them yet, but if you look around this forum, you'll see many people saying Road Race offers high quality products so I'm pretty sure you won't have any problem with the tails.

I'd rather see the gunmetal tails chopped onto a thunder grey lancer.. but since they arent DOT approved yet, no one but Kontra has em!

Ok mine arent from RRM either but they are the same manufacturer and they did leak. I put rubber cement all around the edges to waterproof them. But it made the edges look crappy cuz there was bubbles in the glue. My temporary solution was electrical tape all around the border of the lights, it sticks on the front good but you have to glue the back. Sounds ghetto but it looks perfect and my Dad thought it was weather stripping. When it gets screwed up Im going to paint around the edges so it is permanent. But the black strip all the way around is the perfect solution to my biggest beef with the lights and it looks really clean.

Ofiicially speaking. There were about less than 5 % of the lights that leaked. Anyone with the problem had it resolved. Per our request, DEPO has also upgraded the seals on the lights since March 04. They are as tight as a BABY dophlin's *** now. If youy have a problem though DEPO will warranty it. No problem!

Maybe we should pimp baby dolphins instead of lights!
