I like the new ralliart but my only question to all of you is why spend $25,000 on a ralliart when you can get an 03-04 evo?

oh that's just wrong

to be brutally honest, any evo other than new is a stupid investment, if you want to call it that. think of the people that buy the car and imagine what it has gone through. it's like bangin a retired *****... the things that it's gone through CAN'T be good

That's the main reason. An Evo is a race car, not so much of a DD. So finding one that hasn't had any kind of abuse/mod is a .000009% chance.

Buying a new car is a bad investment, you lose thousands just by driving it off the lot. I personally don't like the idea of buying a performance car used because I don't know whether the driver was good or not and how they treated the car. A nice wash and some air freshner can go a long way to hiding future problems.

May you please elaborate on how you came to your conclusion of 0.000009%?

I never thought of buying a car as an investment in hope that maybe tomorrow its value will skyrocket. To me it's an everyday tool just like my computer (which also depreciates in value as times goes by even more than cars do when you compare the percentages of electronics as a whole). Anyway, I guess it's a personal preference but I always buy my cars new, and always bargain the hell out of them before I actually buy them but I know that no matter how much lower I can get a new car under invoice I know that car will be worth less the next day anyway. With new car I dont have to worry who was the previous driver and how it was taken care of. Of course new cars can be lemons out of factory too but I think percentage wise new cars are more reliable then used ones (just common sense I guess, I didnt conduct any research so I dont know this for a fact)

not that this is any sort of factual statement but I have seen more young kids/adults driving EVO's where I see nearly all STi's being driven by 30-40 year olds. Even saw an old lady in an Sti once, she had to be in her 70's...that was a funny day. But again, theres always exceptions to the rule. But generally its hard to find a performance car like and EVO/STi/SRT-4/WRX that hasn't been modified or beaten on, thats why you buy those cars, to have fun

also the insurance might be lower than the evo 8 or 9
But it looks exact as an evo X. Maybe people will buy the RalliArt and say its the exo X

you could get a used 06 EVO IX for that kind of money. i wouldn't waste it on a lancer ralliart. it looks like they also screwed up by not giving it enough power. just like they did with the EVO X.

you shouldn't feel stupid making that trade, assuming you're talking about the 2009 model. the 09 WRX should kick the ralliarts *** when it gets here
