As alot of you know, I'm going to the track this weekend. My friends wants to come with his car too, but his inspection sticker is expired and his front window is cracked. Can he still run?

That would be up to the track. If the windshield has to big of a crack in it, chances are, the track will not let him run because it would be a safety issue. Call before going. It would suck to drive out to the track and not be able to run.

I heard that they told look at the inspection stickers?!?!?!?

 

I understand the windshield, but the sticker? So a purpose-built drag car that got trailered there would nee this said sticker too? Is this sticker given out after DOT inspection or something? All I have to do here in SC is pay the F'n property taxes on the car and they mail me the sticker.

 

depends on the track, some tracks are pretty strict some have never even heard of tech

 

NJ tracks do inspections, but not sure if they check the stickers.

 

around here they never checked stickers and their safety inspection was a joke compared to even the basic stuff the SCCA does at events.

the windshield is most likely going to be a big no-no.

 

It sounds like its time for a new windshield, then you have a chance at passing inspection
