Had to sell..

unfortunately i had to sell my 2003 lancer oz..

the car started acting up on a friday, so i stopped driving it that whole weekend. sunday night i took it out to see how it rode..

the shift lever was really rough to put in drive, and once i got going the car was shifting very hard.
I stopped in a parking lot to look at a few things and then when i got back into drive the car..it wouldn't go into gear at all!!

i left it there and pulled it to the shop the next day...after it got looked at they told me they dont know what was wrong with it, but once the reset the codes it was throwing that it drove again. said it was still shifting hard but it was driving. they flushed the tranny fluid and did a few other things.

the car was driving much better but still flared up going into 2nd and 4th. The 2 gears wern't synchronized. he told me that it me gradually get better but if not. i need a new transmission..the following weekend it wasn't getting any better so i decided it had to go.

I'm now the proud new owner of a Grey 2001 Jeep wrangler sport 4.0

I'll miss my mitsu but i do love the jeep..especially with the winters where i live

I'll still be around to give w/e input i can with the lancers

Congratulations on the Jeep!
Sad to see your car go, I looked so hard for a red 02 or 03 OZ but could never find one so I liked you red oz :P
Oh well, btw how many miles were on it?

Wow that is disappointing, my friends 03 has 112K and their lancer is the reason I got mine, it has been amazing and been put through so much crap... Auto trans still shifts amazingly smooth too ... Sorry to hear, have fun in the Jeep!

Yeah, very odd cuz my '03 OZ even @ 84+k miles never gave me a major hiccup at all! Maybe it needed a new tranny filter...oh well, congrats on the Jeep!
