2008 vs. 2009 GTS?

I mean, really...IS there any difference AT all, besides the 2.4Liter Engine w/ 16+ horses/torque?? cause now that the 09's are out, the 08's can be bargained down to a great price, but I just wanna know is there anything else that is DIFFERENT? I only wouldn't mind having the 167 HP and 168lbs of tq - Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area, there's not really a "2008+ general" forum on here i didn't see.

oh and obv. there will be a tiny decrease in MPG, but that doesn't bother me so much, it's only like 1MPG you're losing or so.

can u post pics please :-D I'm thinkin of buying the Graphite Grey one, or a white one! I'm waiting on my insurance check, and another job before i make the purchase. IF i were smart, I'd get an 08' cause it'll be cheaper now that the 09's are out, but i know i'm gonna want those extra horses!

because it is still so early in 2008, the 08s aren't that much cheaper. i would highly recommend the 09. i'm actually just pulling the pictures from my phone. i haven't seen my digicam for a while so thats all i've got. i'll post them in a few.

there are a few threads that talk about the differences if you do a search for 2009. In a nut shell, the power diff is enough to buy the GTS and get all the full package goodies. The 2.0 option is just as good and for 1000 dollars or less you can bring the 2.0 Lancer to par with the 2.4 (stock) that said spending the money on a GTS and pumping the 1000 extra into upgrades may increase the performance. to how much depends on how much of the other parts are different to compliment the slightly larger displacement engine.

I read the 09 came with 2 LSD's? Difference between the evo X and 09 is that the evo X has AYC. Can someone confirm this?

no.

None of the Lancers have an LSD (1wd). The evo X has S- AWD (meaning AYC), and the Ralliart is supposed to have AWD (no AYC) but we dont know that until the RA is officially released.

in japan the Lancer is AWD , but I am not sure about what systems of stability control are in there. There are a few other countries that got the AWD I think

well to of it seems I should go with the 09' cause I'm sure 16 extra horses is what people driving the 2.0's wish they could get "easily"...but its harder. Then with intake, pulley, etc you might could get 180hp out of it sounds cool to me.

When I said 09 I meant ralliart.

I just ran across this on the web at motor trend, but i'm not sure it's true, cause it's not listed in the 2009 lancer brochure:

"...In addition to the supersized engine, the 2009 Lancer GTS gains standard high contrast meters and options including traction control, Xenon headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and the FAST Key (Freehand Advanced Security Transmitter) entry system that lets the driver unlock and open the door with the key in pocket or purse."

It would be nice if HID was an option or traction control, but anyways, this information was copied from an article found at:
