Does anybody know if I can install a Turbo on a Lancer 08 with CVT 2.0L?

 

You could put a turbo on a weed eater. The question you should be asking is can I tune the car to support it?

The answer afaik is no. Not untill somebody cracks the code for the ecu. . .

Or makes a harness for AEM

 

I wouldn't be looking at any major power adders with the CVT. CVTs aren't designed to take a lot of added power, and if something breaks, you have to replace the entire thing, which is expensive.

 

i dont know if YOU can do it

but it can be done

tho there has not been any proven reliability

best bet is to wait till RRM finish with the MT kit, and start on a cvt, and buy theres or try you own or some1 elses


also on the ecu note, rrm has a supposedly working piggy, and iirc some tuning company hacked the evox ecu which is spose to be the same ase the lancer

 

Theres already a turbo kit made for the Lancer GTS its just still in the testing stage as of right now they are testing the CVT model and its getting just as much power as the MT so whoever said it wasnt designed to take a lot of power thats not true. its just all on how they can tune the car is the hard part..getting the power isnt a probelm

the kit should be out by august for the CVT for more info go to the lancer GTS secion/forced induction and theres everything you need to know about it..

thers a brain flash being worked on at this time too by another company and its going to give a lot more gains than the RRM piggy right now..

downside is you have to mail your ecu to them for them to tune then they mail it back to you..
