Fundamentals son, fundamentals!

A tachometer measures RPM (revolutions per minute). Helps you keep track of when you should shift, albeit once you get the hang of it you can just listen or feel what the cars doing and know when to shift. As for swapping out gauges, I'm sure it's possible but you'd need to find a rolled OZ.

Find the rearended one whose pic's been circulating on the boards It may be seriously a lot more hassle than it's worth though. I'm not sure what, if any, features the OZ has that the other models don't. Also the wiring might be a royal beotch. I have no idea if there's a difference in the harnesses used either. I don't mean to discourage, just a few things to keep in mind.

HEY Hktyle!!! To answer your question if the OZ gauges will fit...YES...Thats one of the first mods that I did. I got an ES and it fit. When you order the part MAKE sure that you say you want the complete assembley. I told them that i wanted the gauge assembley and they only ordered the dam cluster so what out for that, these dam people are stupied...

The OZ Edition has the gauge cluster of the Evo with all the necessary info separated into several small clusters (tach, speedo, fuel, oil) while the ES gauge is one big flat plane. I'm looking for pics as we speak...I hear the Evo gauges give you like 10 extra HP though...hehehehe...

All you do when you get the OZ guages is take off the old one and plug the new ones in. That simple

It was like 500 for the whole kit. I have no idea why I spent that much money on it. It looks great, but not for 500. And yellow lancer what the hell are you talking about the 2.4??? We be talking about the gauges man.
