Any news on the touring package yet? Website still says same thing (after June 2008) and local dealer still has no news.

Local dealer can now see the Touring package to order but the price is "to be determined", said will probably be as much as the navigation package. Got quoted 23.4k(with 1k off their listed MRSP which was laughable) with S/S+Navi, and said would order the Touring if I wanted, said no thanks since that seems like one of the more horrible pricing I've seen nationwide(US).

I would love too if he would come down to reasonable pricing (he wouldn't budge kept saying I already took off 1k), 23k with touring is a maybe but seeing lots of 21k S/S/Nav 09s so hoping for 22.5-9k. Hate not dealing in person though, but I guess it's time to email other dealerships in the area.

^^ Are you looking at a manual or CVT? The CVT (auto) transmission costs about a grand more... If u could get 23 - possibly even 24k for it loaded with the touring package that may be worth it. The xenons and the stability control are the two major expenses the touring package adds.

You may have better luck negotiating if you print out invoice prices for everything and walk into the dealer tell him you are ready to pay a set amount. Are you financing it or paying outright?

Anyways, good luck!

Someone needs to be fired

It's simple. They have products to compete with the Impreza (sorta with the base Lancer trims) and the STI (the Evos), and they want a product to compete directly with the WRX. Granted, the pricing may seem a bit weird to some, but with most cars you can put enough options on any trim level to make it just as (if not more) expensive than the trim level above it.

Got some responses from dealers in the Northwest area, none say the currently in production 09s are equipped with the Touring. Still no price and if ordering one it would be months off. Got quoted 21.9k CVT/S&S/Navi which is pretty good looking at averages people have posted. Now to see if the Touring is closer to 1k than 2k.

I'm with ya, glad we ordered 5 of them (17% of the order). How much are aftermarket HID's these days? Gota be atleast $500 right? And the touring i'm pretty sure come with projectors too, the EVO headlight assm.

$23,500 in a lancer buys you: 5 Speed manual, 168hp I4, 28mpg, 650watt sound system, 6 disc changer, sirius, HDD NAVI, HID headlights, rain sensing wipers, stability control, traction control, side airbigs, 18 inch wheels, spoiler, and a 5 year bumper to bumper? Can any other car company beat that?

That's awesome I forwarded that to a dealer, and they now saying it just came in the system today. 23k for CVT, S/S, Navi and Touring (not including license/freight). Salesperson said first shipments coming in late July.
