25,000 miles down...what else do I need?

So I've read the maintenance manual.

I've hit 25,000 miles (well, I will in another lunch hour's driving) and I know I need new plugs, probably new brake pads and I'm up for an oil change too.

Read a bunch of the usual threads, but I'm trying to assimilate what's the best bang for the buck for off the shelf parts. The Raybestos brakes from Pep Boys any good (Yeah I know, rip off to have them do it but I can't do it myself)? And the Bosch plugs?

Hell, should I just tell them "Oil, brakes, plugs-only" or go for the whole tune-up?

Damn my driving habits, car's only 14 months old.

Thanks, gang.

Good Lord. So you're saying in 14 months you've put 25,000 miles on her? WOW! 25,000/14 = 1785.7 miles per month. Now that is a lot of driving!!

If you cant do any of the matinence stuff yourself, I'd just have them do it all... the whole tune up wouldnt be all that much more and it may be worth it if you really do drive your car that much! just my $.02

Yeah, 14 months. Living in south Jersey and a bunch of trips back and forth to NYC and north Jersey of 125 or 150 miles each way...that adds up.
