Service Engine Soon!!!

So I was on my way to work this morning and suddenly my car sputtered and the service engine soon light came on. I was about 8 miles from my house so I turned around and headed home. When I stepped on the gas to turn around the car kind of sputtered again and didn't want to do anything I turned it off and let it sit a minute then started it back up. I was able to drive home by doing about 45 mph. My first thought was to take the injen intake off after I checked it to make sure everything was on tight. I actually decided to just pull it off and put the factory airbox back on. To my surprise it fixed the issue. Now my question, do you think I should take it to Mitsu and let them look at it or leave it be? I went ahead and drove to work after a quick test run and all seems to be good with the car. I drive about 50 miles to work one way.

the injen intake probably came loose. Just reinstall it and double check all your connections and couplers, they might just need replacing.

how long you had the intake on?

If the stock airbox turned off the SES light then I agree that something just came loose. Check all the clamps and tubing for gaps and make sure it's all super tight. This doesn't sound like it needs a trip to the dealer.

It has been on for a little over 2000 miles or so. I think I am going to let it run stock for a few miles and see what happens. If all is good I think I will sell the Injen and get the K&N SRI when it comes out or just get the K&N Drop in filter.

I honestly think something just came loose as well but I wanted a few opinons on it.

That would be a hell of a way to let someone know it was time for inspection. I'm sure it was the intake. I am calling mitsu today to set up a time to have them look at it.
