I hate to say this on a Mitsu forum but I went and test drove an new WRX and I loved it. They only had the auto w/sportshift but im waiting on the 5spd to come in to test drive that too.I still have a while before I will be ready to buy a new car.

 

if ur gunna choose between an WRX and an 09 lancer, id prob go for the WRX, a friend of mine owns 1 of those cars, and they r pretty nice, and pretty quick

but really its all about personal preferences

there both nice cars

 

i would say keep ur RA, but since you said it was auto, you might as well trade it in for the new GTS.

 

The WRX is better performance-wise stock, and AWD is always nice. The Lancer looks a hell of a lot nicer IMO, around the same interior quality. An 09 GTS 5spd with all the bolt ons and a re-flash would be pretty sick I think. You'd easily get over 200bhp. I don't know anything about the mods available for the WRX though, but they start at what... 24k?.
You can get an 09 GTS with Sun/Sound for 20k if you look hard enough, with 2k in mods can be close to the power of a WRX, the thing you'll miss out on is AWD. So its up to you what you really want.

Get the RIPP Supercharger. There was this guy whos running all stock internals plus meth kit and Pulley boosted him up to 301 hp. I don know how many psi though.

 

Is the WRX 07? If its a newer one I'd say hell no just cause of how ugly they are. Just trade your car in for an 09 RA.
