steering column snaps!
saturday nite...i was driving down a hill...and all of a sudden my steering column snaps and i smack into a side railing. now here is da damage....front bumper, driverside fender, doors, rear quarter panal, back bumper, and my rims....under da hood...it is still mint condition....gonna get mitsu to pay for all this...and if dey are not paying for it...den i am going to have consumer affairs get involved and have dem rip my car apart and look at it...if dey say mitsu is at fault...den dey gonna have to pay for it...if its my fault...gonna have insurance pay for it....
now...has anyone eva had dis problem?

other than the ebonics that sounds like the right way to do things, if your car is still under warranty, they technically should have to fix it because the steering column is something they have to cover, and it breaking caused the rest of damage.. insurance company would probably have a ****fit and try to talk to mitsu anyways
If there were no witnesses you'd best hope the column STAYED locked and that you can point to that as the reason for the accident. For your sake I hope that's the case. Best of luck.
EDIT: Or did I misunderstand and the column actually fractured?

I'm curious in this as well whether you actually mean "snap" as in it broke/fractured or "snap" as in when you make a sharp turn you'd snap the wheel to the left or right.
if the steering column acually snapped , thats all Mitsu Buddy, Factory defect, hands down. Hmmm Cost of the total'd car, pain and suffering and the inconvinience .. im thinkin Evo ... GLAD your ok man !
