He's right. But he has no room to speak.

I think you should both concede that neither of your cars are worth drag strip or track time.

I'm guessing they both have about the same HP. A tune doesn't do much. That is going to be the world's most boring race, like watching paint dry really. Just tell the guy he's an idiot for thinking his cavalier is a race car.

hahha +1 agreed, it might be exciting if u race like an autox where atleast skill will be a factor.

haha reminds me of when I was in high school I drove an (auto) 92 Mazda Protege with the BG 1.8DOHC... There was a kid who had a 96 Cavalier who trash talked my car a few times, well one day after school we were both first at a red light and he started yelling at me and reving his engine. Getting a ticked was not something I wanted so, I decided I will only floor it to 55MPH (10 over the speed limit). So the light turned green and we were about even until about I hit about 3K RPM and I just walked past him. It was pretty funny, this happened about 3 times and he finally shut up! My Mazda was rated at 125HP, our Lancers have 120HP, and his cavalier has 115HP. I think you will be a little faster than him.

On a side note that kid threw a rod later that year, are the 2.2L's in the cavaliers infamous for that? That might be something you can tell this kid to make him mad.

Hope that story helps?!

it wasnt me who tuned it..the owner who had it previously tuned it so it wont shift until it hits 6000 RPM for 1st gear then i think its 4500 or 5000 Rpm shifts..the kid thinks a body kit would give him about 30+ horsepower lmao.

hes dumb...

Generally speaking, when I think of exciting races I think of Evos, STIs, Porsches, etc. not a cavalier and a lancer.

How do you know it was tuned, it sounds like he just drove it hard all the time so the ECU adjusted to it.
