Talking Evo best wake up tonic

Ahhh, I'm nice relaxed and awake now after driving the Evo to work:

You get in the car quite sleepy and groggy, drive out the garage only to have the bright sun making you squint your tired eyes. Then you turn on the road and coast in second gear before slowly accelerating to cruising speed, still feeling like turning back and going back to sleep... then come the first straights where you have space and the engine is warm and you start accelerating for short bits. Now the eyes start to open a bit more and the mouth stops sulking and it's a more relaxed mood already. But anyway, the best part of my journey to work is the turn past the building where my company is in, always a red light and then a nice turn onto a dual lane road, meaning nice four-wheel drift on the limiter in first gear this morning, THAT gave me a smile!!

Yep, fitted the rear strut brace and the breather kit. The f*ckin' air filter was wrong!! Stoopid SuperAutobacs workers!! I ain't too sure about the wheel nuts either, they are the right thread and will hold the wheel in place, but the standard nuts center the wheel with something like this:

____
I____
____I
I____ <---- this is where the thread is
____I
___I

whereas the Rays one's are konical at the end:

____
__ \
I__ <---- same **** here
____ /

So both bolts will center the wheel, but I'm not too sure yet if the Rays version is safe enough.... I'll ask a tire specialist and see what he says, cause I really don't want to loose a wheel somewhere on the Ring...

**** that sucks! Is it just the mounting that's wrong on the filter or the whole kit?? Does the Evo one bolt on to AFMs with a gasket inbetween?
Thats what I don't like about places like SA..you always get a 16 year old spotty kid assuring you that all is well with your purchase....you should have sourced it through your shop in Ichikawa...probably spend a bit more but at least you know that it fits...

I have no idea about the wheel nuts....but best be ckecking with a tyre dude as you say! Don't want to end up like the guy in the E7 crash vid

Yeah, yeah, for real!! I'll be hittin' switches while cruisin' round the Ring like a !!

I'm not sure about the wheel nuts yet, I'll ask a tireplace, cause they fit and will center the wheel, no problem.

Mike,
Do you think I would by tuning suff as Claude?

Off course they are light competition forged bolts as the enkei ones!
But they only fit with am wheels!
The standard evo bolt is flat, don't fit them!

I told to Claudius that I bought those, but he wasnt lissening, he was thinking about his lunch or smthing !

Now just go back in Japan and buy some rays or enki 18" wheels!
