Question June Road and Track

Anyone see it?

Best handling cars:

1. Ferrari 360
2. Lotus Elise
3. 911 TT
4. Euro Evo VII
5. Z06
6. Boxster S
7. e46 M3
8. Mazda MP3, whatever the hell that is.

Not bad for the Evo, but too bad the new M3 is such a soft, heavy, engine-exploding disappointment.

160hp?
Where did you get that?

MP3 is a just a regular protege with upgraded muffer/suspension/brakes/wheel packaging.

It has 140hp as compare to 130 on the protege.

I like the MP3 as well...but still outta my price range (me=po'). Did take a test drive in it though and it was pretty damn nimble. Surprised it ranks on par with the other cars mentioned on that list (albeit I never have and probably never will get to drive those) though. The MP3 also gets a pretty decent sound system if that's your kick to.

Cool

The Mazda MP3 comes stock with racing hart rims, racing hart muffler, tociko shocks and sway bars and roll bars with the mother of all steering wheels(Nardi), not to mention the great Kenwood MP3 stereo with a ten inch sub, with a beautiful interior. It comes stock with 140Hp but I got mine putting out 150hp/157 on the torque, with some slight modifications. I bought this ride cuz I could not wait till the EVO came out. Have never regreted a second of it. Oh yeh let me not forget.......all for the great price of $18,500. Can't beat that with a bat.

I think you're referring to that Mazdaspeed Protege. It's got 170 hp with a turbo. The MP3 has only 140hp up 10 hp from the regular protege.

The MP3 is a tight car, nice interior, comes built basically with everything you need in addition to the MP3 player!
I was very close to buying one (last one in So.Cal) months ago but the mere 140hp wasn't enough for such a built car, although the handling kicks better than its competitors.

BTW, the M3 is not a dissapointment, that car is badass and if I had the funds it would be a purchase most definitely!!!

i drive a mazda mp3...actually im looking to sell it since i just lost my job and the payments are a little much for me right now but it's an amazong car. you hear 140 hp and it gives the car a negative vibe right away but after you drive it you'll have nothing but good things to say.

if anyone is interested in taking my baby off my hands email me at stefano@designlab.org.

asking price: $18,000 obo (it's only got 3700 miles on it).

Mp3

My friend has one. Turns extremely well but needs about 50hp more at the wheels.
