My girlfriend and I were driving around San Gabriel (Southern California) last night. I was in the turning lane and a silver Evo VI passed by on our right. Was it anyone here on this board? I tried chasing it down but couldn't find it. I was so shocked to see an Evo on the street.

I would bet that you are an Evo newbie and what you saw was actually a Mirage with an Evo type/conversion body kit (I've seen those).

 

THERE ARE many EVO 4 5 and 6 conversion Mirages in San Gabriel Valley area and Rowland Heights area. I also saw a Mirage with Evo 6 conversion kit on 10 freeway (but had stock rims) and a white Evo 5 wannabe in Rowland Heights.

 

im guessing its was a mirage conversion, too.
i 've never seen i real lancer evo in the U.S.

 

there are some on East Coast, imported by Evolution Imports.

The most you'll see here in LA are Mirage with 4G63 implants. That's probably the closest they get.
