going either NA or turbo depends on your money situation. turbo-ing the lancer is no small endeaver and costs a lot. low compression pistons are a must if you plan on running 8 or 9 PSI constantly. I would consider a metal headgasket and strengthened head bolts too if you plan on going higher than that. road race's intercooled system is currently 4 large, but once you add in more of the wonderful hidden costs, that price could easily rocket you up into the 6 grand region.

i've owned both NA and FI sports cars, and I do have to say I enjoy the FI much more. They just take more TLC and attention than an NA car.

Also, don't get a blow off valve. find a nice diverter valve. The Mitsu 1G DSM is a big favorite (i'm currently running one and I like it). Also also, get a turbo timer. you'll thank yourself in the long run. I need to get off my *** and order one for the 240, but until then, I get to sit in the car while I idle the engine for a minute or two to let the turbo cool down. Wee.

If you don't have it, find a copy of Sport Compact Car's June issue. It's all about boosting. And they run a section on DV's and BOV's. Good luck!

well if you are going after Boe for the fastest lancer I suggest you talk to him to make sure you are certain that is the path you want to take.

He is turbo, intercooled and TONS of other work. I suggest you call over to RRM as they know speed and they know our cars.
