Water Leak

Angry Water Leak

I just started to get a water leak on the pass side by blower motor. Not sure if its comming from the ac unit put it drains out the driver side ok. Please help it is a 2002 lancer es 20k miles on it

water leak = visit dealer. i think someone else had a leak but it may have been an evo.

Run a search... It's a clogged drain in the AC... Fix by either 1) Taking to dealer, or 2) Running a wire in the hole from the other side (firewall).

Head to your dealer. If it's coming from under the dash, it might be your heater core, which means BIG $$$ if you're past your warranty limit.

There have been a few Evos with seal problems, and I think at least one Lancer. Have the dealer check your heater core and drain plugs. If one gets stopped up, rainwater and such could back up into the cabin.

there's another thread on this topic. the ac drain is clogged w/ debri. take it to the dealer and they'll clean it out for ya. alot of us had the same problem.

yeah, its a very easy fix. There is a rubber nipple with a 90 degree bend that needs to be pulled off. Its somewhere behind the motor on the firewall, I belive kinda to the passenger side. Once you pull the nipple off, take needle-nose pliers to pull out whats in there. Old leaves clogged mine up. Hope this helps.
