I sent my MO a month ago. When I have either the MO or ECU I'll be a little more inclined to agree with you. Until he starts responding to IMs and the PM I sent him about 2 weeks ago I'm going to have an even harder time.

He has whatever info you provide when you register which does not include names, addresses or phone numbers. You can find that off site easily with reverse address lookups and/or reverse phone lookups.

I mean...what the hell is a Hobie Kopek anyway? Why the hell should I buy from him?
just seems that people with names that suggest irresponsability or immorality of some sort tend to have bad business tactics. It just makes sense, though, because no honest and straight person would use a name like "JokinDave" to do business (guy I bought some "real" oakley sunglasses from). But that's just my experience, and yeah, I look at feedback and stuff before buying too.

If there was some unintentional problem going on, he should have said something. Its been a month since hes had my money, and i have nothing from him. IF some is going on, he could have either sent the money back to us or told us something. We will see... If you get a hold of him and find out whats going on that would be appreciated also...

I have seen this happen many times on the bike forums I go to. A lot of people contact the local police and they sometimes get involved in the situation and people pay up or ship out the parts really fast. If you sent the money order via mail, it is mail fraud, if he accepted the money and did not send the parts, you can contact a Postal Inspector and they can go after the kid. I use to work in a building loaded with Postal Inspectors and they do not take shiot from anyone, they would love to bust ***** at any given chance. If you used a postal money order, then you are even in a better position, because they can get the info right away on the money order.

Another tactic that I have seen work. Local people go to the person's house and get your money order or parts for you and send it to you. I think 5 or 6 pissed off people can get the point across and very seldom have I seen it get to the **** whoopin point.....but it has happened.

Personally I'd prefer to resolve this with his cooperation rather than without it.

Reading this just rehashed my old feelings I got when I got ripped off. Mine is off topic though, I got ripped off for some money I sent in for a camcorder from some guy in NY. I was a little naive, and too trustworthy, I sent him the money, knowing only his email address, and sent it through an electronic transfer, so I didn't have any info, no address, no cell number..nothing. I was pretty dumb, but I had bought stuff that way before and it worked, so I didn't think anything of it.
But yeah, I filled out the whole report on that website you're talking about, they never did anything about it. I really tried to get as much done as I could too. I even called the FBI, lol. I even found multiple usernames by that same guy on ebay, with the exact same item descriptions, and new accounts that he was creating specifically for fraud, and I tried report it, but they never did anything. The police didn't do anything either. He's lucky, REAL lucky I never found him. I would've got my money's worth out of him.
