just installed the smoked led tail lights on my 08 lancer gts and they look great! Install was easy. If anyone is interested in pictures or have any questions let me know.

those look pretty good. Do you have some "on" shots to get an idea of brightness, pattern, etc.?

ok here are some more pics with various different situations:

BRAKE PRESSED...LIGHTS OFF

BRAKE PRESSED...LIGHTS ON

BRAKE NOT PRESSED...LIGHTS ON ONLY

The left tail lights seem brighter but thats only cause of the outside lighting...at night they look awesome and very bright

Thanks for sharing. I think those look like a nice option. Hopefully the electronics hold up as I know some of the options out there don't stand the test of time (at least they haven't in the past for me on some other vehicles).

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. The build quality on these tails really surprised me. They feel sturdy and have more weight than the OEMs. As far as fitment goes....it is OK. The two on the trunk fit perfect however the two side pieces leave a gap between the car and the tail light housing but it's no big deal. The only thing I hated about our cars was the ugly stock pink tails and I wanted to be different so i got these instead of the ralliart tails that everyone gets. Plus I love leds!

Next upgrade: getting rid of the RC antenna and putting a sharkfin

^good info on the fitment. I got some JDM VIII MR tails off ebay (I think the brand is depot, or something like that) and I would say fitment is 9/10 or so. The stock tails have a "plug" that lines up with a hole on the car. The aftermarket ones don't have a plug so much as a metal post. There is some movement, but I'm talking a millimeter or so.

If that is your problem as well you could likely fix it by turning the "post" into more of a plug by either using some pieces off the OEM or wrapping foam around the metal posts. Hopefully that is the issue.
