So i went and got my lancer serviced at 31k miles and I was told there was a upcoming TSB to replace the front sensors. I believe it will cost the dealership about 103 dollars US. Thats all I know though.

The paper she printed out said November 17th effective date.

Got my letter in the mail. recall is for 2008-2009 lancer and 08-09 evos

Reason: ...a long term exposure to a mixture of melted snow with salt thrown up by other vehicles on the road may cause a water salt mixture to adhere to the front impact sensors. This coating over time may cause corrosion of the sensor and result in a crack in the sensor case which could allow water into the sensor and a short circuit of the sensor. in the event of a vehicle collision of the type that would deploy the airbags this type of short circuit may cause a delay in the deployment of the airbags which could result in driver or passenger injury..."
