Are these the same ones that come stock in the Lancers?

Does it still work with all steering wheel controls and the stock RF sound system?

Also, does the GPS maps use SD cards (Are they included?) or are they built into the unit?

^^ the steering wheels still work, its just plug and play. And the mapps is loaded via the SD card.

I'ved spoke to some people and so far its excellent. Only 1 problem. It will be a problem with the rockford fosgate.

people who have the no rockford will be alright!

FYI that isn't the OEM unit. It's a unit with An OEM look to it

It could be the OEM unit. The only way is to rip the OEM apart and compare manufacturers. I like this option way better than aftermarket since it's a 8 inch TFT LCD, most won't reach 8. For the price it's a good option considering it comes with all necessary cables. I ordered a unit from the user 'perfectly_media' http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT for $635 shipped. We'll see how it installs.

I would love to know how the install goes. It looks really good and I've been looking for an indash. Only problem is, I have the rockford..wonder how that will affect the system

Something with the Canbus wiring with the RF system that's an issue. If you read the link he supplied there are some people talking about the HU not powering up since the CAN-bus network wiring is different for the RF.

I'm wondering about the sound quality over the OEM radio (non rockford).

after reading this thread and the other thread mentioned i decided to purchase it just now for a total of $623...sounds like an amazing deal for alot of functionality. I have a 2008 lancer gts without the rockford system so hopefully i wont have any problems with the installation as others have had with the rockford.

I got most everything to work on the evo instead of the steering wheel controls. They gave two harnesses, one with a Canbus decoder-I"m assuming this is for the RF unit), one without). Cable harness with the Canbus decoder wouldn't allow the unit to power up. The normal one I got everything to work except the steering wheel controls. Oh well for the price you can't beat it. It allows you to play DVDs while driving without modifying any of the wires-plug and play.

Has anyone got this to work with the Rockford sound system?

It looks like steering wheel controls won't work with it. What about with bluetooth.. all is still good to go?
