Ive been thinking about all the joys we will have when we get our EVO. All the aftermarket performance products, bodykits, and proving those people wrong who have doubted the EVO. Anyways but all this scares me how some people will rice the EVOs out AND this will happen.... We have all seen the Fast and the Furious and what they have done with some things. I just do not want to see some EVOs go to waste with underbody neons with ugly bodykits with all those oddball paint colors.

What are your opinions on this future matter?

I say never more than new wheels and maybe a body kit (nothing wild) as far as the exterior of a car goes.

I plan on doing absolutely nothing to the exterior of the Evo except for a coat of wax.

To some degree, the price of admission for an Evo will reduce the "ricers" from doing too much to them. However, you will always have people who do incredibly tasteless things to cars because they think it looks "cool".

What I'd be more worried about (for lack of better words) is posers buying regular Lancers and slapping an Evo wing and an Evolution plate on the rear trunk. Again nothing you can do about it (aside from run them off the road ) but it's still annoying.

 

Your always going to get someone who's taste is just "do as much as possible to it" and it happens to all cars. How many riced Subaru RS's have you ever seen....very few. But Suby brings the WRX to the states and all of a sudden everyone goes nuts for it, Altezza lights are popping up faster than Ron Jeremy at the sound of action. It's just how it is, the Evo will be the same.

 

Look at Justin's riced out RS...we still accept him though
