Rebadge Lancer

Hey I sprayed my emblems with Plastidip (heard good reviews) and plan on putting them back on my car. I was gonna paste them on with some pretty permanent glue but I'm having second thoughts. If, while washing my car for example, the coat starts to chip, I wanna be able to take these back off my car. What I'm asking is:

Is there a less than permanent way to stick the badges back on my trunk? Is 3m tape a good idea? Thanks for the help

pic of the emblems:

Use double sided 3M foam tape.

How thick is the tape? Will it cause the emblems to sit far off the trunk?

3M sells that tape in different thicknesses. I think the tape I have is 1/8" thick, which will probably be your best bet.
