Yipeee!!! I got my Apexi AVC-R Installed
The long awaited boost controller is now installed in my TME. It's so F$##%$ sweet!!!!.
Boost off : 0.7 bar
Low Boost: 1.1 bar
High Boost: 1.3 bar
Still running the standard TME ECU and no fuel cut even when tested with 1.4!!!

I paid US$500 for it. The dealer is a friend of mine so he gave it at the cost. I think you can get it in Japan for Yen 57,000. Installation & tuning $45. It's well worth the money!

I can't understand that...Correct me if I'm wrong the stock ECU has a built in boost limits, which turn the fuel injectors off when the boost rises a certain amount over standard, thus your only raising the boost a little. Without an upgrade ECU and increasing the boost without increasing the fuelling will cause the engine to run lean. OK perhaps the APEXi AVCR can do I don't know, as I'm only experienced with the HKS FConV on mine.

Mate as I said I have no experience with AVCR...if you can do it then its great. An increased cut off isn't the thing, its running lean that will kill your engine. I suggest bundling it with an AFM to make sure...if your running it all day.
Cheers

The AVC-R only adjusts the boost. In a very accurate and customizable manner, but only the boost.
Thanks for the info Claudius.. If there are no fuel cuts and assuming the ECU provides the correct amount of fuel, are there any precautions I should take as far as revving too hard on high boost settings etc. or should I not worry about pushing the car to the limit?

Other than that, I always recommend to push the car to the limits, it's want it demands. GIVE IT TO HER!!
