i think my clutch is going it is hard to put into gears for first 3 min of driving then goes back to normal is my clutch going and how much are new ones for a 2002 lancer es manual.

How long have you had the car? How many miles are on it? Are you slipping under load? Do you smell something when you shift gears?

My clutch gave out on me after just 35,000 miles... Not that I was raging on my car, I think my issue was tied in someway to the throwout bearing.

 

i dont smell anything i can just barely get the car in gear then after about 3-5 minutes of driving and shifting it becomes easy again

 

It seems strange that you wouldn't be able to shift for that amount of time. It sounds like it could be the pressure plate. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/clutch1.htm or maybe a throwout bearing? You're going to have to get it checked out by a professional. AS for clutches I can verify that the mirage clutches work for this car as I have one now and have been running it for the past few years.

 

ok now i never kept my car in gear when it was shut off and parked just neutral and the E-brake but now i tryed keeping it in gear and it shifts fine everytime now im so confused ha
