Exhaust manafold might need a change?

G'day i have a 98 Lancer and the last engine that was in it was changed to a 4G94, the exhaust manafold is from the old one. the 4G94 one requires a plug into the exhaust manafold for a oxygen sensor, should i need to change it or just let the oxygen sensor sit outside the manafold? the car runs like **** because the sensor isnt attached at all at the moment.

I would buy a 4g94 manifold and then put the 02 sensor in. This should solve your problem. You shouldn't just have a sensor hanging around in the engine bay haha.
