'04 Lancer gets better mpg than the '03 Lancer?
03 Lancer ES vs 04 Lancer ES

According to that, the '03 gets 27/33 and the '04 gets 28/35. Is that right? What's different?

True, but does it make that much difference?

Does anyone know if the gearing's any different, or if the engine/ecu have been revised?
