Hey, I have a chose between a new 2003 Lancer ES and a new 2004 Lancer ES. Which one can I get more power out of after engine mods. I know currenly there is a turbo kit for the 2003, but hoow about the 2004? In one year will there be more engine mods for the 2004 model or should i just get a 2003 and add turbo and engine mods?

 

they both have the same engines, the only difference is the looks of it. there may still be some fitment differences in the 2003 and 2004 lancer es's tho. if i were to choose between a 2003 and 2004 lancer es, id just get the 2003 becuase:

1: it should be cheaper
2: i think it looks better
3: turbo kit will fit for sure (even tho i doubt there's very big differences in the two cars)

just make sure to get manual in this car, it's a lot more fun.

 

^ definately what bob said. well all in all i believe in the end, the same amount of parts will be available for the 03's and 04's. the good thing is 03 will be cheaper. i'm not sure on your tastes, but many will agree that the 02-03's look better too. its up to you though..... its going to be your car.

Hey, yeah, 2003's rock. I hate the front end of the 2004's . They look too "cute". we are lancer owners, we're supposed to have an aggressive car. and the 2002/03 grills look just that " aggressive"
