Hey Guys! I was just looking at Performance Chips for my 02' OZ and I want to know if You think this is a scam or a good product.

It tricks the IAT into thinking there is colder air coming in than what it really is. The ECU then adds fuel and timing. A tune is the best way to go. This is just a silly old gimmick.

Cleaver gimmick. But this is going to sound stupid but what does a tune involve? I'm new To this stuff...

After I recommended that, I searched for tuning software for the lancer. I didn't see any besides the S-AFC or other fuel trim piggy backs. I haven't used them personally, but it adds or subtracts fuel at given rpm and I'm assuming load. I don't think it does anything with timing.

If anyone else knows of a true tuning software like EcuFlash please chime in. I'm just curious.

if i'm not mistaken there are guys on here running turbo 4G94's on stock ECU's not sure if they are 4G94 ECU's, but look around, i've seen the info, just can't remember who or where...

Thats correct. We are. Not the original maps though. The manual guys are using Evo maps on the stock ECU and us auto guys are using expanded maps and other features on the stock ECU.

We use ECUflash for tuning. Definitely not for beginners...
