It even has a rollcage too. But it's a hatch, is it even a lancer?

That's a JDM Mirage/Colt (which is different than the US "mirage"), the performance version of that car comes with a 1.6 MIVEC engine with 165+ hp output

That explains why I couldn't find it. The Mitsubishi page doesn't make mention of older models.

There are 1.3, 1.5 and 1.6 MIVEC version of this car...should be a nice fun pocket rocket, but we never saw that in US. BTW, that's the 93-96 body style

I was looking at the Mitsubishi Japan page. They only show recent MY's though unfortunately. A page with the complete lines of any particular auto maker would be absolutely amazing.

Mwahaha! I win! I figured it was a Cyborg with the turbocharged GSR engine (the prototype for the 4G63, the 62?)

There was a tubro'd 4G61 in the previous gen, however, I think the only "performance" engine available for this gen is 4G92 1.6 MIVEC

The Cyborg model before that shape had the turbo engine, but this cyborg and ones after it came with the 1.6L Mivec engine.
