I was wondering if anyone has put a hitch on thier OZ... if so... what have you towed with it?

I plan on getting a motorcycle sometime next year and plan on towing it around if need be....and also using the hitch for mountain bikes...

Isn't the point of buying a bike to umm... ride it? but anyway look around a little because there are companies that make hitches to hide behind ground effects and stuff. I think godfather customs makes one but it is probably for trucks, but give em a call, ya never know.

P.S. Are ya gonna buy it from king Jerry? That guy is a pain in the *** to all of us midwest motorcycle sales people.

 

no need for the smart *** comment... i have a motorcycle too and sometimes you need to trailer it around. for example, i was going on a 4000 mile bike trip that was starting in Wisconsin. I had to leave friday after work and be there by saturday afternoon. Now unless you are nutz can't make the ride from south dakota to wisconsin in that short amount of time. (not impossible) so i had to trailer my bike out there for the ride. anyway.

i didnt use my car to trailer cuz i needed to bring out a second bike so i took my friends truck. i would feel safe trailering one bike but not two with the lancer. ill keep watching this thread cuz id like to know too.

I didn't mean anything by my comment, it was meant to be humorous, sorry. Anyway, look at some of your local trailer hitch shops and see if they offer any kind of low profile or hidden hitches as an option to the standard. Also what kind of bike are you thinking you are going to tow? I think the lancer would be okay with sportbikes and stuff but a full 700+ pound full dresser and a trailer may be a bit much for our little car, i would look into that as well.

 

my fault silverr6, i read it wrong. what you said abotu the weight is true.. my bike only weighs 363lbs.

 

Hey I just pulled some ads from King Jerry and they have some MAD deals on F4is and R6s but I'm going to wait till next year to get either the F4i or the FI R6...

What is your opinion of King Jerry? I didnt know he was all the way in MN too..I'm in chicago ....and this is the best one I know of...

Warning, before you buy from king Jerky, look around. His initial price may look low but if you call his shop and talk to three different sales people you will not only get three different prices but you will get three different handling fees!! His deals aren't all they're cracked up to be sometimes, but sometimes they are.. And no i wish i was going to some of the upcoming shows up here but i will be working like a slave, but drop me a line if you wanna go riding or cruising in the lancers some time.

Yeah if ya wanna go for a ride on that sunday i have a crew that usually goes for a nice long ride on weekends, usually a hyabuse, a gixxer 1000 and my r6 plus i think there is another sv650 coming too, as far as good roads for the lancers, i dunno, mine doesn't turn that good yet, but i know a group of guys that goes cruisin downtown in a group of imports. if you're interested we can figure somethin out

 

damn i wish i was bringing my bike with me... as it turns out me and my friend are debating on whos car we should put all those miles on, and its looking like it might be her car. sunday huh? well, i was planning on heading back to SD at about 3pm the latest. yeah i dont have springs or anything yet either, i've been putting a lot of money into my bike, but now i have it paid off and i can focus on my car. well its still a couple weeks away, we can figure something out by then im sure.

 

why on earth would u put a hitch on an oz lancer, mistubishi does make the montero you know, i think u shoulda gone wit dat what a weirdo
