Try ebay, or your local junk yards.

Might have to call around a bit.

If your replacing a blown engine or something you should swap it with an eclipse engine. Add some horse. I can't remember which one but one model is a direct swap.

If you're looking fo an engine for your Mirage, I agree that a 4G94 is not your best choice. My biggest dissapointment in the Lancer is their choice to put a weak SOHC 2.0 in there. That's my opinion.

It's only as weak as you let it be. It should be a more or less straightforward swap though, and it's a lot less expensive than the 4g63.

4G64 from teh 3G Eclipses is also a viable option as well. 2.4L engine with tons of possibilities... (like swapping head with an Evo head 2.4L DOHC turbo, all the 4G63 parts bolt up, like turbo manifold etc etc)

Dunno why I missed this before, but since this isn't a tech thread I'm moving this to USLG.

I know this is a dumb question but what exactly is the difference between the evo engine and the lancer engine. I know the evo has a turbo and different engine specs. But with all the turbo add on kits for the lancer its still impossible to reach the horsepower that the evo comes stock with it? What else is different?

How much does a mivec for the 03 lancer go for I like it much better than my stock engine plus the mivec puts out 160 HP
