Cool OZ Progress Springs installed ..

So I finally installed my progress springs for the lancer oz. These were used springs and had a little wear on them and I wasn't sure what end was supposed to go on top.. I posted a thread asking which end was to go "up", and Iamkar33m (who was at RRM at the time) bugged those dudes and explained that the top should have a sticker on it and should be tapered a little bit. Both facts were true and this helped significantly. You guys r0x0rz!

Install was a DIY job and was suprisingly easy. Front ones were cake to get off and back on. The hardest part was getting the damn bolt off the strut itself. Once I pulled out the impact wrench it was a easy. USE AN IMPACT WRENCH! lol

Rear ones were a little more difficult, the only reason being that I have custom audio crap mounted in the trunk, had to remove the capacitor, remove all of the trunk lining crap and then could get to the strut bolts. First one took a minute to figure out how to get off but the second one was off and back on in less than 7 minutes.

For anyone who is going to do this, the following links are HIGHLY recommended:

Evom.net How to on Spring Install

Another Spring install

RRM's site claims 1.5" drop in front and 1.3" drop in rear. I measured the ground to the top of my wheel-well before install:

Front: 25 3/4"
Rear: 24 3/4"

After the install:

Front: 24 3/4"
Rear: 24 "

I'm assuming that the springs will drop somewhat as settle into my car.

Driving the car is nice. Its definately stiffer. The ride is fantastic, just right. I can definately tell that it isn't stock springs when i hit a bump, but its in a good way. Alot of people have reported squeaking and noises from their progress springs but after driving about 60 miles today, I have yet to hear any noises heh

Just thought I'd post this in case anyone was interested in the Progress Springs. They are highly recommended.
