wheel spacers question
wheel spacers question
hey guys, i've searched but i can't find what i'm looking for. i plan on installing fender flares on my '03 OZ and i don't want the wheels to look sunken in with the flares sticking out. my question is what size wheel spacers do i need? i would imagine they would have to be relatively large spacers, but i read on one of the stickies in the wheels/tire sections that going past 10MM is not recommended.
anyone have any suggestions as to what size would be okay?

i was wondering the same thing. fender flares tend to stick out about an inch, which is, give or take, 20MM. i donno if with 20MM spacers you can still get the lugs on there securely enough. anyone have any input on this? what's the biggest spacers anyone's used? i have 5MM, but i wouldn't go more.
Slip on spacers, up to 5mm is safe (if using the factory studs). If bolt on, pretty much any size is fine, and safe provided they are fitted properly.
WRC cars use slip on spacers, and most Time Attack cars use bolt on spacers.
I have 20mm and 15mm for track use (as I only have one set of wheels).
