auto-off headlights

are there many of you out there who actually use the auto-off feature on our headlights? i know its there as an option, but do any of you know if it will hurt my HIDs if i leave them on and let them turn off automatically by using the auto-off feature? i know turning HIDs on and off reduces the lifetime of the bulbs/ballast, but does what i do hurt it more? any info will be appreciated.. thanks

i don't see how it would hurt the HID's...it's just like you shutting them off yourself

I'm sure this makes me sound ignorant, but how do you use the auto-off feature?

just turn off your engine with the lights on and open your door.. you'll hear the 'warning sound' for your lights for about 2 seconds, then it'll just turn off automatically

hahaha... I use my remote start the same way. I always have used the auto-off feature since the day I bought my car. I love it, and I have 7000K bulbs so they shine a pretty bright white/blue light, so they really light up where ever it is I am!

the car uses it all the time , lol.

i never turn them off at night, and i never have to worry either, so its all good, great feature.

the only time i turn them off manually is if its bright out and there still on frmo the night before.
