Hey there guys, I'm a noob here, and I don't even have a Lancer, but I thought I'd drop in and see what's going on here. In any case, I was pumped when I heard the Lancer was coming over, but I almost cried when I saw the engine options. I know Mitsu just had the whole 0-0-0 deal, but is that the reason you guys went Lancer, or did you find out about them some other way? I just wanted to see what kind of reasons you guys had and even what plans you had for the car. That's all for now

 

I had anticipated its gimped arrival for some time. Hell, I'm glad the USDM Lancer came out before the Evolution. At least I can afford this car. I basically wanted one from the first time I saw it and went to the dealership with the mindset that if the test drive was fun and I liked driving the car (I'd already scouted it out at other dealerships and been quoted a good price at this particular one) I'd buy it. Workin' out delightfully so far.

 

cause it looks "like" an Evo, my favorite car that I've ever owned was an A3 Jetta, this car was very reminiscent. The financing caught my eye and when I thought about cars mitsu had that I would want the lancer popped out immediately. Plus chicks dig it.

 

sounds like a good enough reason to me... question is, when are you taking it to Atco?

 

I bought it because it was new, I liked the body style, nobody else had it, and the price was reasonable..

i haven't bought a lancer yet either, but i want to because of the evo. i like the evolution so much, but i can't afford it. but at least there's another car that is more in my price range.

 

I was shopping for a new car, looking for either a used bimmer or something like that. Went to the dealer and on the floor they had a yellow OZ with custom 2 tone leather(black with yellow trim) and i absolutely fell in love with it. I had to have it, so that week i went to the dealer about 3 times and finally filled out paperwork when i saw the silver OZ i wanted sittin in their back lot. The lancer fit well in my budget, my other option was a 92 bimmer M3, but i figured buying a new car would be better, esp since i haden't seen a lancer on the road yet. there ya have it, now 3 months, 6000 miles and i still love my car.

 

well then how about you tell me where that M3 was for sale . I love those M3s, but there's always the point where you have to get over it and realize a new car might be a better deal

 

Why did I buy it. Well being that I'm a girl, I wanted a cute car. The price worked out well for me too though. I needed something reliable to get me back and forth to school and work. So I got basically everything I wanted. I honestly love my little blue angel. At this point I honestly don't know what to do it, but I'm pretty sure my boyfriend may have some ideas.

I researched them a little before they came out. 0-0-0 + the price range of the car was excellant. Nice little car to cruise in. Body style is nice. Not to many on the road (or atleast in my area). Up an coming aftermarket which anyone who owns a lancer at this time can say they were apart of on down the road when the aftermarket is more developed because of people like us now trying to get it up an running with the companies out there.

 

if your boyfriend knew what he was doing, he'd turbo it like my Rx7 and put a big *** blow off valve on it. then again, you could just buy the Fake Blow off Valve speaker that one of the guys on the forum was asking about
