Question How hard is it too..

OHK! i just took my car to a very local muffler shop just right up the street, and then the guy told me to put the stock cat back in would cost 50$ - what a rip off im thinkign, right?

And he said may cost more because the Kamikazi down pipe does not line up right with it? Is this right or is he just trying to make some extra $$.

and so i think im just going to wait till it gets a little warmer and do it myself. But - it shouldnt be too hard to do and the stock cat should line up right with the header DP right?

sorry if this is confusing to read - i dont have my contacts or glasses on and cant really see the screen to well , hehe.

I find that difficult to believe. put the car on jack stands and try it yourself. This is another "if you can turn a wrench, you can do it" mods/fixes in the Andrew book of car tuning/maintenance. And find out what kinda gasket it uses. I'm sure you can pick em up at your local auto parts store if yours is crushed badly or rusted.

the stock cat will line up with the kamikaze header no problem. the only thing i'm thinking.... from your test pipe back..... did they bolt it on? or was it welded on? if it was welded on you may have to pay the muffler shop to do it. so basically it all depends.

its all bolted so it will be easy then to put the cat in - the only thing i thought would give the problem was the header DP. but since u said that shouldnt be a problem im not worried, hehe. and will do it once it gets above freezing here hehe.

the only thing w/ the kamikaze header is that the down pipe will rub the frame, and i have heard that the kamikaze dont line up exactly w/ the cat, but is an easy fix, you just have to adjust one of the hanger i think there was a post on it. I dont have the headers so i dont know first hand, but this is what i have read
