lancer to evo ?s


I have a 04 lancer that I have had since high school I gotin a wreak in high school and it has set in the back yard since I want to buildit from the tires up, what I want to know is if the 04evo engine will work inthe car I know I need the computer and all the fun stuff mainly I am talkingabout the trans will it bolt up?

people have worked miracles... the computer, harness, preferably out of an rs would be best. that way you dont have to deal with bs systems.

i have seen quite a few lancer conversion threads in the past... i personally feel if you plan to go into this much trouble that you should just buy an evo. back in 04 it was probably cheaper to do this then buy one but now they sell for dirt cheap.

also with enough effort you could use any usdm evo model engine/electrical setup

not to sound rude but i just need a yes or no, i already have a car and and i just need an engine for it and i am not doing the awd swap i am going to keep it fwd

No, the evo engine won't bolt up to the lancer tranny. Even if it did, you'd be asking a tranny designed to hold ~120hp to handle ~300.

There's lots of fabrication involved in doing an evo engine swap into a lancer. You either need lots of know-how to do it yourself, or deep pockets to have someone else do it. This is no small undertaking.

k thank you very helping me, thats all i needed to know i was going to beef up the tranny but if it will not bolt up then that is all i need to know
