it doesn't really change the sound that much. you won't even notice the difference. the angled tip is i believe the "JDM" style thats why some people do it like that.

also people might call you car more "ricey" with the angled tip..just a thought.

i think it look good on a high performance jdm look car... 240, 180, evo, sti, rx7, and stuff like taht.. but for civic, integra, lancer, centra,... i prefer the straight muffler tip

i think ur all right...when i looked at the angled mufflers it was mainly on cars w/out a bumper opening etc...like rs eclipses etc...but i think it'd be weird on a lancer with the opening we got...so im gonna go straight back, it would look much cleaner....and im not down with the 'jdm' thing goin on lol

well i see it alot on eclipses and some teggies in my area, i think it looks kinda cool..but the eclipse/teggies i see it on...don't really have an opening in the bumper but even the ES has a decent opening, im just gonna get straight back, looks clean and thats what i want really.

thanks for all the input people

ya some civics and such around my house who have it at an angle i mean it looks nice but then again those carsl ike you said dont have the hole in the back for a muffler. so its either put it at an angle or just have it look like trash hanging.

Most Evo's have their exhausts angled for less bends in the pipe. Turbo needs the least backpressure possible so they angle the exhaust to have the least bends in the turbo-back piping.

If you do angle it... you need to angle it so that it has the LEAST bends in the pipe. Also go with a 3" pipe diameter (since you're gonna go turbo).

HOLY BAGEEZUS 3"....

everyone says 2.5" is the most u should go...i mean..i only plan on 5-6 psi, maybe more IF i decide to get pistons...but i figured 3" was a lil over kill for 5-6 psi.
